Paint Towers

Cheer up the Gloomy Glums

iPhone · Free, with one purchase to remove the ads

Coming to the App Store

Gloomy Glums are marching on Paint Town, and the only way to stop them is to cheer them up.

Build paint towers along the road and splash every Glum that walks past. Each one you paint turns bright and happy and wanders off home. Let too many through and Paint Town loses its colour.

Nothing is destroyed. Everything is cheered up.

What's in it

999 maps
Every one different, every one with its own name.
Nine towers
From the Splat Cannon to the Paint Bank that pays you back.
Join them up
Put two towers side by side and merge them into something better.
A campaign
Kingdoms to free, town by town, all the way up to Castle Gloom.
Paint Stars
Spend them on skills and upgrades that stay with you for good.
Something to chase
Twenty achievements to find, and a leaderboard to climb.

The trick is spending less

Every battle gives you a score, and most of it comes from the coins you never spent. Anyone can win by covering the map in towers. Winning with six is the hard part, and the part worth bragging about.

Common questions

How do I get rid of the ads?

There is a one-off purchase on the main menu that removes them for good. It changes nothing else about the game — no extra coins, no extra towers. A game of skill should not be winnable with money.

I paid, and the ads are still there.

Tap Restore purchase under the same button. That asks Apple what you own and puts it back. If it still does not take, send us a message.

Does my progress follow me to another device?

Not yet. Progress is kept on the iPhone it was made on. Your Game Center standing follows your Apple Account, but the towns you have freed and the towers you have won do not. We are working on it.

I lost my progress.

Deleting the app deletes everything it had saved. There is no account and nothing is kept on a server, so there is sadly nothing to restore from.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes. It is built for all ages, and nothing in the game is destroyed or hurt — Glums are painted until they cheer up and wander off. Ads are limited to general-audience content and are never personalised.

Can I play without the internet?

Yes, all of it. Without a connection you will not see ads and the leaderboard will not update. Everything else works as usual.
